Abbot’s Classic Smokehouse Protein Veggie Burger is a pea-protein-based patty featuring mushrooms, caramelized onions, and smoked paprika for a rich, savory flavor. It checks all the boxes—high in protein, made from clean ingredients, and free from common allergens. But once you take a bite, it’s hard not to feel let down. The texture doesn’t live up to its burger-style label, and the promised depth from mushrooms and caramelized onions never really comes through. Nutritionally, it’s a burger; in taste and feel, it’s just another veggie patty. For the Vegan Curator, this was a one-and-done—good on paper, but not worth a second round.
